1. It will come unexpectedly. (1-2)

The Day of the Lord “Any time God intervenes directly and dramatically in history to either judge or to bless.”

Thief in the night: If you’re not living faithfully then you could be caught off guard when the Day of the Lord comes.

2. The destruction will be inescapable. (3)

Destruction is not for the church!

3. So encourage each other to stay alert! (4-11) …by being faithful.

…by being hopeful.

…by being serious.
