Psalm 114

Praise God because...

1. ...he makes a people for his presence. (1-2)

“But now, this is what the Lord says— he who
created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do
not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned
you by name; you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1

Praise begins by remembering whose people we are.

2. ...his presence rules over his creation. (3-6)

Nature’s reaction (3-4)

Nature’s interrogation (5-6)

The God who commands creation also controls
every obstacle.

3. Stand in awe before God’s presence! (7-8)
