Welcome to Church of the Valley

THIS SUNDAY AT CHURCH OF THE VALLEY: EASTER - 3 WORSHIP SERVICES! Invite your family, friends and neighbors to any of our 3 Easter Sunday worship services full of the wonderful news of eternal life in Jesus’ resurrection. Our Sunrise service starts at 6:30 AM at the beautiful Sunset Hills Memorial Park. We meet outside by the rocks with the great views of the valley as the sun rises. The outside service includes hymns on guitar with Pat Singer, special music and a message “No Longer Orphans” from Pastor Becky Sage. Bring folding chairs or horses to sit on. Then we come back at 9:00 AM for a traditional Easter worship in the Sanctuary with our Sanctuary Choir and in Hansen Hall at 10:30 AM for our Contemporary worship with our COV Praise Team. Pastor Mike Clark shares the Easter message “He Is Not Here, He Is Risen!” from Matthew 28:1-10 at both these services.

NEXT SUNDAY IN WORSHIP: Easter declares God’s forgiveness for all who trust in Jesus. Next Sunday Pastor Mike gets practical about forgiving each other as the Lord forgave us in part 1 of the 2 part message “Top 10 Reasons to Forgive.” It is truly good to be forgiven and to forgive.

OUR COV SHORT TERM MISSIONS TRIP IS COMING SOON!  Broken Arrow Bible Ranch is excited that the long overdue flooring replacements will be a reality this coming May. Though COV is providing the labor, we are also obligated to provide for the cost of materials. In addition to this, the cost of food and transportation will need to be funded. While those on the work team are willing to pay for some of the food and transportation costs, any help with these expenses and the cost of materials, will be much appreciated. Each Sundays through May 4, a missions team member will be available at each service to provide further information and receive your cash or check donation. Look for the Broken Arrow Bible Ranch display at each service location. When making a donation by check, make it out to Church of the Valley and put “Easter Missions Project” on the memo line. Your annual giving record will show your contribution. Donations can also be made in the offering plate and at the church office. On behalf of those enjoying wonderful new flooring--THANK YOU.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL IS COMING SOON! June 23 – 27 Volunteer sign ups have started. COLLEGE/CAREER GROUP MEETS MONDAY EVENINGS AT 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM: Do you know someone who thinks Darwin's theories have killed
Christianity? Do you struggle with the issue yourself? This week we will discuss the underlying assumption of the naturalistic worldview: can life arise from non-life? Please join us Monday evening, March 24, as we continue our study based on The Case For Faith by Lee Strobel. We'll be taking a serious look at this topic and many other common objections to Christianity. We also spend time each week talking about the challenges and joys we experience in our walk with and witness for Christ. For more information, please text Randy Lee at 760-524-0260 or call 760-946-1935.

Verse of the Day

English Standard Version Bible Daily Verse - 1 Corinthians 13:4-6
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
