Listening Through Disaster

Joel 1:1 – 14

1. Problem: Ignoring God leads to disastrous results.  (1-12)

“Pay attention to what I’m about to say.” (2)

Ignoring God takes the joy out of life.

2. Solution: Mourning and prayer is the proper response. (13-14)

Sin should make you feel uncomfortable.

Sin should cause you to mourn.

3. Listen to God through disaster!

The road to radical repentance begins when you stop rationalizing your sin and begin mourning it.
