ministry is where we put our faith into practical service.

 

 

Current Openings

 

Volunteer Receptionist

Receptionists are needed from 9:00 AM-4:30 PM. Training is provided. Be the wonderful first contact for Church of the Valley to those who are calling our church.

Crisis Ministry Volunteer 

Volunteers sort clothes, pack food, and assist with clients interviews. Weekly, monthly and as-needed assignments
are available.

Rummage Ministry

Volunteers assist with sorting on 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Rummage Sales (2016 schedule is the first Friday and Saturday in May and in October) need the help of cashiers, sorters, kitchen helpers, and set-up and tear down crews.

English Tutors

Side-by-Side aka the English as a Second Language program uses tutors (training is provided) to work one on one with assigned students. Wednesday's from September through June.

Outreach Ministry Team

Anyone with a desire to reach our surrounding community through various programs/ events is invited to check out
this ministry.

Back-Pack Giveaway

Bring supplies, prepare back-backs, and help give them away to students in need. There are many ways to help! This year over 100 backpacks were given away to kids in our surrounding community.

Samaritan's Purse

Help prepare gift boxes to send to children in need across the globe for Operation Christmas Child. This years event happens in November 5!

Welcome Center & Greeters

Volunteers are responsible for greeting first-time guests that come to the Welcome Center for information, gifts and event/ program sign-ups. Flexible scheduling is available. Training and encouragement is provided.

Greeters welcome our COV Family, friends and most especially guests to Sunday services. This ministry is designed to make all feel warmly welcomed and to help new friends navigate our campus. Help guests enjoy all that COV has to offer them and those important to them.

Sunday School Teachers and Assistants

Help us share the good news of Jesus with our little ones! This ministry provides the training and materials needed to accomplish excellent mentoring. Be a part of ministry to our Children.

Ushers

At this time, Ushers are needed for the 9:00 AM Traditional Worship Service in particular. Ushers hand out Worship Folders, escort new visitors to seating, hand out gift bibles to new visitors, and take weekly collection. No experience needed as training is provided.
